YOSHITO SUETAKE

Yoshito was born and raised in Nagasaki, Japan.
His father is a carpenter of the first generation of his family. His father played a significant role in his upbringing, with Yoshito often observing his father’s masterful skills.

Despite his engineering degree, Yoshito’s passion for carpentry led him to join his father’s company as a carpenter,
a decision that would mark the beginning of his career transition.
He learned various skills from his father.

“He decided to move to New Zealand in 2009 and promised to return and inherit his father’s company….”

His first carrier in New Zealand was taking on various roles including marketing, site manager, and carpenter at Japan Homes Limited.
His diverse skills and experience helped him run his own business in the future.


“He made the decision to settle down in New Zealand.”

He started his company,
Woody Life Limited, in 2013.
He has undertaken various projects, ranging from small to large.
He said he is still learning from each project and always appreciates learning new skills, having new opportunities and meeting new people.
